Clean Focus – We Invest in Your Solar Success

Founded in 2008, Clean Focus develops, finances, owns, and operates large commercial and small utility-scale solar energy projects in the United States. We have access to the most comprehensive capital sources and a proven deal-closing track record. Our focus is making sure that your solar project is financed, built, and operates successfully – for everyone’s benefit.

We pride ourselves in offering best-in-class financing and co-development partnership arrangements. We use some of the most flexible financing structures in the industry, which means we are able to make projects work that others are not able to. Our partners tell us they choose us because we consistently get the deal done.

Leveraging our deep expertise in project development, underwriting, financing, legal and tax structuring, construction management, and operations, we have successfully developed over 40 MW of solar power in California, Nevada, Florida, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Among these are one of the largest single rooftop arrays in North America, one of the first feed-in-tariff project in the U.S, and the largest solar project in New England. We are the largest owner of solar on landfill sites in the U.S.

We finance to-be-built projects, and we acquire already-built, operating projects. We have dedicated sponsor equity ready to deploy and are actively looking for opportunities to acquire or co-develop solar projects throughout the U.S.

Our innovative and creative approach to project development resulted in being awarded “Deal of the Year” from Novogradac in 2014 for overcoming obstacles, demonstrating our ability to solve problems to get your project built successfully.

Solar Project Financing

Clean Focus finances solar projects ranging in size from mid-commercial to utility-scale. In addition to leveraging our own $100 million sponsor equity fund, we arrange for and secure construction, term debt and tax equity.

Co-Development Program

The Clean Focus Co-Development Program is designed to help small developers successfully navigate the tricky waters of commercial and utility-scale solar to bring their pipeline of projects online quickly and profitably.

Project/Portfolio Acquisition

With recent infusions of investment capital, Clean Focus is interested in acquiring solar projects or portfolios of projects, whether under development or currently operating, in the US or across the Americas.
